DESCRIPTION
Clover Cottage is a delightful, tastefully modernised thatched cottage, situated a short walk to the dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle, the picturesque village square with its choice of shops, pubs and places to eat, and to the Swanage Steam Railway.
As you enter this deceptively spacious 3-bedroom cottage, you are greeted by a welcoming hallway, with ample space for jackets, hats, walking boots and sandy shoes.
To the left of the front entrance is a good-sized ground floor bedroom, which has twin beds that can be zipped together to form a super king-sized bed. Next to the ground floor bedroom, you will find a newly fitted shower room, with a large walk-in shower, hand basin and WC.
The inviting sitting/dining room provides the perfect space for relaxing with family or friends after a day out visiting the nearby attractions. Sink into the comfortable sofas in the lounge area, where you can enjoy a movie, play a game, or sit and chat. For dining, there is an extending table, which can comfortably seat 6-8, where you can eat, drink, and celebrate. From this area, there are double doors leading out to the beautiful garden, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. The newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven with integrated grill and electric hob. There is a full-sized dishwasher, a large 50/50 split fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a washing machine.
Upstairs, you will find a spacious master bedroom, which has a king-sized bed. This attractive bedroom has a seating area for quiet moments of relaxation with a book. Bedroom two has a super-king-sized bed, which can be split to form two full size single beds. This bedroom has chairs to enjoy a quiet cuppa, whilst overlooking the rear garden, with the hills in the distance. The family bathroom is located on the first floor, and has a shower bath, a wash hand basin and WC.
From the sitting room, there are double doors leading out to the large rear garden, and a single door leading into a small porch area. The beautiful garden offers a tranquil retreat, with a patio area just outside the French doors, which has garden furniture where you can relax or dine al fresco on the table and chairs. There is a long lawn area, ideal for children and dogs to let off some steam, and the highlight is the breath-taking view at the end of the garden, where you can see the steam train chuffing away on its journey from Corfe to Swanage, against the backdrop of the Purbeck hills in the distance.
There is a parking space for one car at the front of the property and a permit for a reserved parking space in the village car park in West Street.
Clover Cottage is an impressive, welcoming holiday cottage which has been recently refurbished, with your relaxation in mind. It provides a perfect retreat for couples and families wanting to enjoy holidays year-round, in this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Corfe Castle is a peaceful village, with some hidden gems, amongst its traditional Purbeck stone cottages. Corfe is famous for the outstanding ruined castle, which is owned by The National Trust, and offers plenty to see and do, including walks around the ruins, and has various family activities throughout the year. There is a tiny museum to visit, or you can take a trip on the wonderful Swanage to Corfe Heritage Steam Railway.
